

Born April 11, 1927, in Evanston, Illinois to Leopold and Agnes Fleissner.
She grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois and attended Maine Township High School class of 1945. As a young girl, she was a champion swimmer and a seamstress winning medals in both activities.
Vivienne attended the University of New Mexico where she met her future husband, Fred Becchetti. They married in 1946. Her husband joined the Foreign Service in 1962 and Vivienne for the next 26 years bravely traveled to six countries in Latin America with him. She raised five children during this time. While in the Foreign Service, Vivienne did countless volunteer activities to support the local communities. Her proudest accomplishment was graduating from nursing school at the age of 50.
Vivienne was compassionate and always aware of those who were hurting or in need. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She was curious and never stopped learning. The most favorite gift she ever received was an iPad that opened up a whole new world to her. She has been described as always being calm and very creative.
Her happiest times were spent at a cottage in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina reading books and knitting. She was known to always have a kitty cat on her lap.
She quietly colored her world with a caring heart.
Vivienne is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Paul Fleissner who was killed in WWII, her brother, Constantine, and her sister, Lucile. She also is predeceased by three of her sons. Philip, Jerry, and Gary.
Vivienne is survived by her husband, Fred of 77 years; son, Larry of Virginia Beach; daughter, Carole Gardner (Bob) of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Paul Gardner (Lindsay) and Christine Gardner McGill (Chris); five great grandchildren; and a niece, Holly Fleissner Peterson.
