Born on January 7, 1966 in Albuquerque, NM, Russ dedicated his life to service, both in the military and in his community.
After graduating Rio Grande High School, Russ proudly served in the Navy from 1989 to 1998 as a Culinary Specialist and achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. Russ was a member and past Master of the Willis V. Fentress Masonic Lodge #296; a member of the Princess Anne Royal Arch #1607 and the Khedive Shrine Hillbillies Unit. He was also the Associate Bethel Guardian of Job’s Daughters, Bethel #42. He was the driving force behind the Cakes for Cure fundraiser, which raised money for the cure and treatment of Alzheimer’s.
Russ was a Founding Member of the Knights of Solomon Brotherhood Motorcycle Fraternity and a member of the Widows Sons R.A. He and his wife are well known as “The Baking Bikers” duo in the biker community. Russ always had a kind heart and a joke to tell, which earned him the nickname and road name, Jester.
