He was born in Germany to military parents on December 7, 1963, and was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Pilot and retired as a Commander, and also flew internationally for Federal Express.
He is survived by the love of his life and best friend, his wife Patty Hagerty. He was a wonderful and loving father to Brian and Shannon Hagerty, and was an outstanding grandfather to his only grandchild James. He leaves behind his sisters J.P., Kelley, and Trace, and is also survived by his mother Rita, now of Stone Mountain, GA.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life for friends and family will be held on Sunday February 18th at 1 p.m. at the Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club in Virginia Beach, VA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 10:30 am at the United States Naval Academy Brigade of Midshipmen Chapel with placement of Pat's ashes in the Columbarium. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Officer's Club. The family wishes to thank all those who have shown their love and support during this very difficult time.
