Ellen Gail McGinnis was born August 23,1947 in Masontown, West Virginia. Gail was the youngest child of Grace Stone and George McGinnis. She was pre-deceased by siblings Edward McGinnis and Edith Kay Marsh. Gail grew up on the family farm. She was raised by a strict but simple code of conduct: Don’t lie, Don’t Steal, Pull your own weight.
Gail is survived by several nieces and nephews, Christina, David, Lynn, Kim, Jennifer, Justin and their children. She will be missed by her dear friend Jeff Jones.
Gail was a devoted daughter and her mother’s caregiver for many years. Gail fed everyone and everything – family, friends and strays. She was generous with her time and resources. Gail served two decades on the kitchen committee at Wycliffe Presbyterian Church. She loved her church family.
