Bill was born and raised in Saugus, Massachusetts, before moving to New Hampshire, where he built his life and raised his three children. He later found love and companionship with Pat Price, with whom he shared more than three meaningful years together.
Bill was the proud father of three children: Michael Hood and his wife Nancy, Janette Gaumer and her husband Jeffrey, and Darren Hood and his wife Sarah. He was also a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, and is survived by his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.
For nearly 25 years, Bill owned and operated a restaurant alongside Elaine, serving the Manchester, New Hampshire community (Albee’s on Amherst). Known as a dedicated and tireless worker, he believed in showing up every day, doing things the right way, and leading by example. His strong work ethic and values live on through his children and grandchildren.
In 2020, Bill moved to The Villages, Florida, where he became a valued member of the community. There, he gained the love and respect of his step-family, in-laws, and many neighbors, forming meaningful friendships and continuing to touch lives wherever he went.
