Born on October 16, 1944, at the end of the Silent Generation, he embodied a stoic faith in God and a Love of the Lost the likes of which the world will see no more.
Tim was born in Michigan and grew up in Missouri and Nebraska before he attended Concordia Seminary in St Louis (where he met his wife of 55 years). He was married and became a Lutheran pastor in 1970 raising 4 children across Gowanda, NY, Scranton, PA, Ridley Park, PA, and Hamlin, NY. Tim touched the lives of every congregation he served.
After he raised his children all of whom went forth and multiplied, he was Called into the Mission Field serving in Central Asia and Turkey. In 1998 he became fluent in Russian and began spreading the gospel in former Soviet countries.
In 2009 Tim retired and lived the life of a grandpa in St Augustine, Florida. He continued to minister to churches in need and volunteered for Lutheran Heritage Foundation for many years.
Tim was a lifelong scholar, sports fan, and Fisher of Men. As he traveled the world he followed in the footsteps of his heroes, Homer and Paul. He spent his life studying the ancient world so he could lead everyone he met into the next world. He did it all while keeping up with Red Sox scores.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, six grandsons, three granddaughters, two daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, one granddaughter-in-law, one grandson-in-law, his sister, many nieces nephews and cousins, and his poodle, Ajax, all of whom feel his absence deeply.
