It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Robert John Duszak of The Villages, FL. Bob passed away on Tuesday, May 30th in his home at the age of 80. He was born on January 15, 1943 in Wilmington, DE to John Theodore Duszak and Mary Virginia Duncan.
Bob grew up in Pennsville, NJ where he attended Pennsville High School and met the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Peg McGuirk, from the neighboring town of Penns Grove. He married Peg in 1965 and they raised two lovely daughters, Andrea and Kristen. At the time of his passing, Bob and Peg had been married almost 58 years.
Bob graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1961 and began a plumbing apprenticeship with E.I. duPont and Co. in NJ. He later owned and operated his own plumbing and heating business in Amherst, NH.
Upon retiring, Bob and Peg headed south to where it is always warm, and they could golf year-round. He could be found on the golf course five days a week whether it was raining or 95 degrees, and he always had a smile on his face especially when he was close to reaching par–he never gave up trying. When he wasn’t on the golf course he could be found reading the next great Western or Intrigue novel. Not only were his passions putting on the green and reading from his kindle, they also included resting his eyes! He also loved to travel with Peg. They had many wonderful trips together.
Bob was a wonderful husband, father, uncle, and friend. He was very giving of himself, always willing to lend a helping hand. His kind heart, witty banter, and sarcasm will be missed by all.
Bob is survived by his wife, Peggy; his daughters, Andrea and Kristen; and his five grandchildren: Ethan, Trevor, Claire, Luca, and Gianna.
There will be a Celebration of Life on June 24th at 2:00 PM at the Duszak home in the Villages. Friends and family are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to Ronald McDonald House at https://www.rmhccf.org/
