Neville held a central and revered role in his large family as the oldest of 13 children, 9 brothers and 4 sisters. He received his education at a private school in Georgetown, where his sharp mind and work ethic quickly became apparent. Driven by a desire for higher education and a bright future, he took a courageous leap as the first member of his family to leave home and come to the United States as a student. This pioneering journey laid the foundation for both his successful engineering career and the lifelong dedication he showed in supporting and guiding his family.
Neville graduated from Area Eleven Community College in 1968 and worked as a skilled electrical engineer, dedicating his career to the critical field of nuclear power, specializing in power plant outages and complex industrial maintenance projects. He brought an uncompromising work ethic and sharp problem-solving mind to his profession until his retirement at the age of 67.
Beyond his professional achievements, Neville was widely known for his generous spirit, always using his engineering talents to help friends and family with their own electrical projects and repairs.
He was an avid sports fan, fiercely passionate about NASCAR, never missing a race and proudly cheering on his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. He also found peace on the water, spending countless quiet hours fishing. At home, he was rarely seen without his tablet close by, contentedly playing endless rounds of solitaire.
Neville was preceded in death by their father, James; mother, Ramdularie, brother Cap. He is survived by his wife, Sally; his children and their spouses Gina and Scott, Robbi and Minal, and his grandsons, Brad, Arjun, and Arin, and granddaughter, Arianna.
He was the ultimate anchor, known for spearheading family gatherings and organizing grand reunions that kept everyone connected. He created a lifetime of cherished memories taking the family on vacations and camping trips, and he spent countless weekends taking Robbi motorcycle racing. A legendary host, his annual seafood boil was the highlight of the year, bringing together his friends and large family for food, laughter, and storytelling. He filled his home with warmth, adventure, and an open-door policy that made everyone feel like family.
