

Born in 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Margaret was the cherished daughter of Wayne and Rose O’Brien. She grew up in a large and loving family alongside her siblings Mike, Bill, Dennis, Nancy, Tim, Dave, Jim, and Maryanne.
Margaret lived a vibrant and full life. She loved spending time with her family above all else and found joy in golf, sewing, shopping, scuba diving, traveling, and enjoying time with friends. She was a devoted volunteer, a faithful member of her church, and someone whose kindness and generosity touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Danny Freeman, her daughters and their husbands, Michele and Tom Schmitt (Dallas, GA), Laurie and Mark McCall (Kennesaw, GA) and her grandchildren Sarah Schmitt, Katie and Kristen McCall who brought her endless pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Rose O’Brien.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Manatee Recreational Center, 1512 Hillsborough Trail, The Villages, FL 32163.

Margaret’s life was a true testament to love, faith, and generosity. Her legacy is beautifully reflected in her favorite scriptures:
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude… Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.” — 1 Corinthians 13:4–7
“I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God’s gift to man.” — Ecclesiastes 3:12–13
Margaret will be forever remembered for her warmth, her boundless love for her family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
