

Peggy was born Margaret Deighan to John and Edna Deighan in East Orange, New Jersey in 1950.
She met Joseph Ferreri in Belleville High School. They married after high school and soon had their son Jaxon, and later their daughter Marie. The family moved to New Hampshire due to a transfer with Joe’s job.
Peggy worked part time in department stores while raising the kids. Joe and Peggy later owned and ran a restaurant for almost 2 years. After the restaurant, Peggy became a pastry chef for a few years. Later she found her calling as a paraprofessional educator with special needs elementary school children.
Peggy and Joe retired to Florida and joined Memorial Baptist Church in Ocala, where Peggy was active in the First Responders outreach ministry.
Peggy is pre-deceased by her grand-daughter Sara, and her husband Joe.
She is survived by her son Jaxon Cavis-Koen, her daughter Marie Eldib and son-in-law Nasser Eldib, and her grandsons Adam, Sami, and Deen; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Peggy wished for donations to either St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Tunnels to Towers, or to her church Memorial Baptist.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Memorial Baptist in Ocala on Saturday, August 1st at 10:00 AM.
