Jane B. Ruerup

Raised in Chatham, NJ by parents George & Helen Brauer who preceded her in death. Survived by her brother William.

Jane graduated from Chatham High School and went on to study at Berkeley Secretarial School in Orange, NJ.

Jane met the love of her life in a sweet shop in Summit NJ and they were married May 18, 1963. She was a devoted wife & mother who adored her family and extended family.

She worked at Chubb & Sons Ins Co, Summit Trust Bank and Atlantic Mutual Insurance Co. before retiring to the Villages Florida in January 2000.

She volunteered in the Villages Recreation Dept before she began working for the Villages Entertainment Dept. She worked in many different capacities before settling on selling tickets to shows from the Savannah Center & Del Mar, then Lake Sumter Landing & the Sharon Center.

Jane was a kind serving person to all who met & knew her. She will be missed by all of her many friends & family.

Jane leaves behind her loving husband & best friend of over 60 years Robert Ruerup Jr. Her son Robert Ruerup III (Pamela) of Hickory, NC and daughter Kimberly Ruerup (John Phillips Jr) of Fruitland Park, FL. Grandchildren: Robert Ruerup IV (Colton Goodson) & Raymond Ruerup of Hickory, NC. Step Grandchildren: Jessica Dozier (James) of Hickory, NC, Amber Pyatt of Lincolnton, NC, John Phillips III of Palm Bay, FL & Jason Phillips of Palm Bay, FL. Step Great Grandchildren: Cauthen Dozier & Laurel Pyatt.

Celebration of Life will be held at the family home on June 23, 2024 beginning at 1pm.
