James "Jim" Herbert McDaniel

Jim graduated from Northeast High School (St. Petersburg, Florida) in 1962 and then served in the United States Navy. After completing his military service in 1966, Jim obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Cal State University, Fullerton, California. He began his career with Gulf Oil in California and later worked for the State of Florida.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Peruzzi, his father, James H. McDaniel, his sister, Anne Fichtner, and his brother Gene McDaniel. He is survived by his wife, Vanessa McDaniel, his son, James E. McDaniel (Jimmy), his daughter, Sarah McDaniel, and his grandson, Jack McDaniel.

Jim most valued spending time with family and friends. His laughter, sense of humor, and thoughtfulness made him one of a kind. He was passionate about caring for others and he never met a stranger. Jim leaves a legacy of cherished memories and laughter with his friends and family as they remember his kindness and lighthearted nature.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on February 3, 2024, at 1pm at Quail Meadow Clubhouse, located at 3158 NW 49th Ave., Ocala, FL 34482. A reception with refreshments will follow the service. Visitation with the family at Quail Meadow Clubhouse will begin at noon.
