Hope Ruth Nay

Hope Ruth Nay, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on August 28, 2026, in Leesburg, Florida, at the age of 88. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on June 7, 1938, Hope lived a full and meaningful life, with a curious spirit, a love of travel, and an appreciation for the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. Among her greatest accomplishments was raising her two children, John and Joan, with guidance, care, and dedication.

Hope enjoyed cruising, discovering new places and making special memories along the way. Her natural curiosity about the world and finding happiness in the everyday moments that made life special. She loved playing bridge, reading, watching Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, and following her favorite tennis matches.

She is survived by her son, John Nay and his wife, Kimberly; daughter, Joan Grove; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, James McKeever.

Hope’s greatest legacy is the family she created. She dedicated many years raising her children and watching her family grow. Her family will remember the many chapters of her life, the places she traveled, the things she enjoyed, and the memories they shared along the way.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, always.
