

Gloria Jean Potts (nee Prette) of Dunnellon Florida passed away on March 30, 2025 at the age of 92. She was born on June 2,1932 in Chicago IL, where she grew up with two sisters and a brother. She graduated from Saint Patrick’s Catholic High School in Chicago IL in 1949.
Gloria married the love of her life, Conrad Potts, on January 5, 1952. She was a loving wife and devoted mother of six children. Being a mother was her greatest achievement, and she did it with joy and grace. As her children grew up, Gloria worked in the insurance industry and later as a celebrated Customer Service Representative for Baxter Laboratories.
After retiring in Florida with her husband, Gloria became actively involved with Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala. She enjoyed her neighborhood and her community and could be counted upon to participate and assist in numerous activities all year round whether it was for the Red Hatters, various fitness programs, holiday celebrations, community events and more. Notably, she was a regular and avid card player with friends and family.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Conrad Anthony Potts; her two sisters Ann Rita Lee (nee Prette) and Jacqueline Sunter (nee Prette).
Gloria is survived by her six children: Valerie Potts, Martin Potts (Lisa), Curtis Potts (Susan), Keith Potts (Sharon), Michael Potts (Amy), and Stephen Potts (Janna), sixteen Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff at AdventHealth Hospital and Marion County Hospice for their care and compassion that they showed our beloved Mother in her final days.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on June 23, 2025 at 8:30 A.M. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church located at 6455 SW State Road 200, Ocala FL 34476.
Interment to follow at the National Cemetery at Bushnell. This will be a private family event.
