

Celcio “Sal” Enteado, 79, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 1, 1946, in Danbury, Connecticut, Sal was the son of the late Leonel and Mary Enteado. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1963 before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, Sal dedicated his life to public service, joining the Danbury Police Department where he served the community faithfully for more than 25 years, finally retiring with the rank of Detective Sergeant in 1997.
Sal was a man deeply devoted to his family, and country. He was an active member of the Catholic War Veterans (CWV), the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, Danbury Portuguese Club, and the Police Benevolent Association. In his younger years, he dedicated much of his time to mentoring youth sports through the Danbury Police Athletic League and even served as Coach & Commissioner for the Babe Ruth Baseball League of Danbury.
After retirement, Sal and his beloved wife Natalie embraced life to the fullest, traveling the world together with family and friends. Their adventures took them across the United States to Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, the Caribbean, and throughout Europe.
Beyond his badge Sal will be remembered for his strength, integrity, his wit, keen sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Natalie Enteado; his sons, Keith Enteado and wife Theresa, & Craig Enteado and wife Courtney. Sal also cherished time with his granddaughters, Grace & Mackenzie, who brought immense joy to his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonel and Mary Enteado, and his brother, Avelino Enteado.
Sal’s service to his country and community will be honored at a future date when he is laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
Sal Enteado’s legacy of service, love, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
