Bill Rafferty, 82, of Venice, formerly of Dix Hills, Long Island, NY, died March 17, 2011. Graduate of Manhattan College with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Bill worked his entire 36 year career for Sperry Gyroscope Co.
Bill is survived by Stephanie, his loving wife of 61 years and their two sons, Bill from Long Meadow, MA and Steve from Arnold, MD and their wives, Karen and Barbara. He was also blessed with 6 grandchildren, Shannon, Kelly, Kate, Scott, Colleen and Bridget, as well as 2 great-grandsons, Luca and Finn.
The family would like to thank Tidewell Hospice House in Venice for their kindness and excellent care.
A memorial service will be held in Long Meadow, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill’s memory to Tidewell Hospice House, 210 Wexford Blvd., Venice, FL 34293.
