Born on October 10, 1932, in New York, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Evelyn Copp. Ginny lived a life enriched by travel, learning, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. She devoted many years of volunteer service to Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, organizations that reflected her love of nature and her Sarasota community.
Ginny enjoyed traveling to new places, sharing memorable meals with family and friends, and spending time with her beloved cats, which brought her great happiness throughout her life.
She is survived by her son, Ned O'Doherty, and daughter-in-law, Sandra O'Doherty, of Woodbury, Minnesota.
Ginny will be remembered for her enduring appreciation of life's simple pleasures, her commitment to the causes she supported, and the many memories she leaves with family and friends.
