It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ty Durst. He is survived by his mother, Leigh Durst (Dana), brother Matthew Durst (Tammy)and his sons, Tucker, River, Ky and Koah Durst, step-mother, Mary Jane Durst, step-brother Ryan Chapdelain (Lydia) and step-sister Brooke Tringali (Nick). He also leaves behind his many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Gary Durst.
Ty loved his family, friends, fishing and of course surfing. He had such a loving heart and would always be there if you needed him. There will be a celebration of Ty’s life followed by a Hawaiian Paddle-Out on April 10th at 6:00 p.m. on Lido Beach near the north parking lot. Wear your Hawaiian shirts and bring a beach chair if you would like. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: donate.oceanconservancy.org.
