Ron is survived by his fiancé, Heike Stoll, and her three sons, Niklas, Samuel & Cole. He is also survived by his siblings Steve Salzman, Mark Salzman, Sherri Jordan, Melissa Kurpiers Finnegan and many loving nieces and nephews.
Ron attended Woodland grade school and Warren Township High School with some of his greatest joy coming from their speech, acting and music programs, especially drumming with the marching band.
After graduating from Marquette University and Valparaiso University School of Law, he worked at the US Attorney's Office in Indiana, then became the legal counsel for the Arena Football League and his storied law career included work as a federal prosecutor, defense attorney, and working for the FBI before starting his own law firm in Tampa, Florida in 2004 where he became a highly respected and accomplished trial lawyer.
Ron played the drums and sang in lounge bands, participated in Triathlons and Iron Man competitions, had a regular group of friends that he rode his Harley with, was an avid fisherman, a lover of animals (especially his pets) and also of everything Disney. There was not a more passionate person to guide you through every shortcut and secret at all of the parks, and when asked for his review of any attraction, his standard response would always be…” you get wet…you get thrown around…it’s unbelievable”
Ron lived in Chicago for many years and developed and maintained a life-long love affair with everything the city had to offer including their sports teams, especially the Cubs & Bears.
We are so thankful and touched by all of the people that have reached out with stories of his kindness, compassionate and selfless nature, while acknowledging his great sense of humor, infectious smile, and ability to make everyone around him laugh with stories from his adventurous life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 15th, 2025, at 11 am at Woodland Community Church, 9607 SR 70 E, Bradenton Fl 34202. Please consider making a donation with either The Ronald McDonald House Charity https://rmhctampabay.org or Meals on Wheels Home - Meals On Wheels of Tampa; two Tampa area charities that Ron not only donated too but actively worked with their organization every year. Or if you would like to send flowers, please send them directly to the church on the morning of the service.
