Pauline B. Smith

Pauline Blackburn Smith, 92, passed away on January 20, 2023 She was born in Kermit, WV on August 21, 1930. She came to Sarasota in 1980 from Bethesda, MD after retiring from the Defense Mapping Agency where she worked as a cartographer. She was a member of the Church of the Palms-Presbyterian and Palm Aire Country Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ralph E. Smith. Survivors include her daughters Pamela M. Jarosinski (Paul), of Olney, MD and Gail D. Oliver (Patrick) of Germantown, MD, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A private family celebration of her life will be later. National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238 or to a favorite charity.
