

Patrick (Pat) Ryan Higgins died peacefully on November 6, 2025, at Manatee County Hospital, Bradenton, FL, after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Rushville, IN, on January 17, 1983. Pat was the beloved son of the late Paul Higgins and Sherri Higgins, who survives, along with his brother, Ben Higgins.
Pat was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lowell Higgins, and grandparents, Richard (Dick) and Fern Wolfe. Pat is also survived by his grandmother, Mary Ann Higgins, his aunts, Diane Lingeman, and Melinda Miller, and, uncle, Rich Miller, all of Indiana. Pat is also survived by his great-aunt, Shirley Craven, as well as many cousins, including Carla Sutton, Amber Wilson, Beth Milam, Caryn Higgins, Zach Higgins, Carla Sharpe, Lorri Yager, and Dennis Craven.
Pat was a college graduate, attending Bloomsburg University and finishing his mass communications degree at Penn State. He worked mainly in sales for most of his career, including YELP in San Francisco. From the time he moved to Philadelphia area in 1995 until his death, Pat was a huge fan of Eagles Football, the Philadelphia Flyers, and the Phillies. He also had a great love of music and film, sharing them with family and friends. Pat had a large group of dear long-time friends all over the US, with whom he gathered for many concerts. He loved playing guitar throughout his life and had also been a talented drummer in school.
During the last five years, Pat lived in Florida, most recently in Bradenton. Everywhere he lived, he made a lasting impression with his hard-working, positive, and cheerful attitude. Pat achieved sobriety for the last year of his life, and his many friends whom he met on that journey provided him with immense support.
