Kenneth Robert Waibel, a devoted husband, father, Marine veteran, and centenarian, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, in Sarasota, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. He was 100 years old.
Born on June 28, 1924, in Newark, New Jersey, Kenneth lived a life defined by courage, kindness, and unwavering integrity. A proud U.S. Marine who served honorably in World War II, he carried the values of duty and sacrifice throughout his life. After the war, he built a legacy of hard work, honesty, and devotion to his family.
Kenneth had a special love for ice cream that became well-known to all who loved him. His face would light up with pure joy whenever someone brought him his favorite treat, not to mention his undying love for Busch beer.
Kenneth was predeceased by his son, Bruce Waibel, and his sister, Audrey Gunther (Waibel). He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Nancy L. Waibel; his children, Rick Waibel, Kenneth E. Waibel, Jeff Waibel, Joseph Super, Donna Super, and Walter Super; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his beloved German Shepherd, Sheila.
A man of quiet strength and warmth, Kenneth was always ready with a smile and a helping hand. He treasured time with his family, and leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with love.

Visitation: April 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the National Cremation and Burial Society. 2990 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota 34239.
Burial with Full Military Honors: Following visitation at Sarasota National Cemetery. 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota 34241.
Celebration of Life Reception: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Eagles Lodge 2926 Wilkinson Road, Sarasota 34231.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in Kenneth's memory.
