Daniel Bryan Keller, 60, of Saint Petersburg, FL, passed away on August 23, 2020. He was born in Rocky Mount, NC, on October 16, 1959. Dan graduated from Bob Jones Academy in Greenville, SC, and attended North Carolina Wesleyan College and Appalachian State University, earning the Bachelor of Music Education from ASU in 1987.
Dan worked most of his career as a church musician, leading worship and coordinating youth activities in Brooksville, FL, Toledo, OH, and Miami, FL. He was a founder of the Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina and was their conductor from 1994-1996. Dan retired to St. Petersburg, FL, in 2016.
Dan was a lifelong lover of dogs, and was put to rest with pictures of his fur babies Pepper, Sparky, Sugar, and Bonniebell.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents Robert Keller and Jane Anderson Keller, and his brother and sister Robin Keller and Debra Keller Harts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus (tgmchorus.org) or Sunshine State Westie Rescue (westierescue.com).
