June 2nd,1958-November 16th,2025
With heavy hearts, We announce the passing of Cindy Lee Green, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Cindy was born to William Green and Norma Jean Eckler in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 2nd,1958. She made Florida her home after moving there in the 1990's. It was there that she built a life filled with family, faith, and quiet acts of kindness that touched everyone around her.
Cindy's life was a remarkable testament to strength. From the very beginning, she overcame challenges that would have stopped most in their tracks-she was one of the first infants to undergo open-heart surgery. In the late 1990's, she survived a devastating accident that left her in a coma with multiple skull fractures and ultimately led to two hip replacements. In recent years, she battled two strokes, breast cancer, and a double mastectomy. Through every hardship, Cindy fought with determination, dignity, and a stubborn spark that never went out. She was, in every sense of the word, a fighter!
But Cindy was more than her struggles-she was defined by her heart. She devoted many years to serving her church community, faithfully helping with the weekly food pantry, setting up and lending a hand wherever she was needed. She gave quietly, consistently, and with genuine compassion.
Cindy found joy in the simple moments. One of her greatest joys in life was drawing. She had a natural gift for art, and her favorite subjects were heartfelt sketches of Jesus. Her drawings were more than artwork-they were expressions of her faith, her comfort, and her way of bringing peace and hope to those around her. She shared them freely, touching the hearts of many with the beauty and devotion in every piece she created. She loved being on the water and never passed up a chance to spend a day out on a boat. And she had a sense of humor all her own- her trademark response, "Whatever", delivered with just the right amount of attitude, could lighten the room and make her family laugh even on the hardest days.
She is preceded in death by her mother, her brother Conley, and her daughter Crystal.
She is survived by her father William Green; her children Richie(and daughter in law Teri), Norma, and Eddie; her brothers and sisters Robin, Shelly, Candy, Tim, and Clinton; and her eight cherished grandchildren- Joshua, Austin, Samantha, Joseph, Dylan, Alexander, Janson, and Clayton- each of whom brought her immeasurable pride and joy.
Cindy's life will be honored at a celebration of life gathering, where family and friends will come together to share memories, laughter, tears, and gratitude for the years they were blessed to have with her.
Her strength, her love, and her gentle spirit will be carried forever in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she has left this world, the impact of her kindness and resilience will continue to shine through the family she adored and the lives she touched. Rest in peace Cindy.
"She fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith."
