

Richard W. Geyer, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, in San Antonio, TX, at the age of 92. Born on October 30, 1933, in Yorktown, TX, to Hermina and Richard Geyer Sr.
Richard lived a life marked by dedication to his family and service to country and community.
After honorably serving in the US Navy from 1957 to 1961 during the Korean War, Richard was awarded the Navy Occupation Service Medal and the National Defense Medal. His work with Aircraft Engineering Mechanics transferred well to his career in management with the bottling industry, working with Lone Star, Coca Cola and Pearl Brewery providing well for his family.
On November 30, 1957, he married the love of his life, Nancy Henricksen, and together they built a family and journeyed through life together for 68 years.
He cherished the moments the family spent together. Richard is survived by his wife, Nancy Geyer of San Antonio, TX; his children, Bradley Dean Geyer of Fort Worth, TX, and Sharon Beth Colwell of Rowlett, TX. His legacy also lives on through his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Hermina Buchhorn and Richard William Geyer Sr. who instilled in him the value of hard work, integrity and kindness. Sister Doris Schorlemer Staffel also preceded him.
Richard had a zest for his hobbies, enjoyed the guitar and fiddle, playing and singing at a weekly jam session with friends and fellow music lovers. He and Nancy also square danced together as often as they could, making many friends along the way.
Above all, Richard was a pillar of strength, generosity and love. His guidance, humor and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Richard W. Geyer’s life was a testament to the power of love, the importance of family, and the impact one individual can have on the lives of many. As we remember Richard, we are reminded to cherish the moments we have with our loved ones and to live a life full of purpose and joy, just as he did. His memory will be held in the hearts of his family, friends and all who were touched by his compassionate spirit.
