Richard was born on August 24, 1953, in Livermore, California, to R. Jack and Violet Frank. Having been born into a military family, Ricky was able to travel and lived in various places all over the world, which he was always very grateful for. He graduated from Peacock Military Academy in 1971, and attended UT Austin, where he obtained his BA in Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, in 1975. He spent most of his professional life as an Art Director.
Rick met Sharon Dzanski on the softball field, and they married on April 17, 1982, in San Antonio. He was a lover of art and music, especially The Beatles, knew lyrics and bands like the back of his hand, and enjoyed going to concerts, taking photos, and meeting musicians. He loved finding celebrity grave sites, playing golf, coaching and watching softball, and collecting Hard Rock Cafe shirts from around the world.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, R. Jack in 1989, and Violet in 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Frank; daughters, Ashley (Jared) Ward, and Meghan Frank; grandchildren, Melody, and Donovan; grandpups, Ferris, and Gizmo; sisters, Carla Ivers, and Leeann Quillen; and nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A private celebration of life gathering will be held at a future date.
