Pattie Jo Wilson

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Pattie Jo graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School where she was a member of the 1947-1948 tennis team.

She met the love of her life, Jack Wilson, in March of 1959 in San Antonio in a bowling alley where they were each a member of their employers’ bowling teams. They married August 22,1959 and were each other’s best friend until he passed away May 11, 2013.

Pattie Jo was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church and The Women of Grace in Houston, Texas. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi,( xi Eta Epsilon Chapter).

She worked for many years and retired from John L. Wortham & Son as a loyal employee in the marine department.

She and Jack logged many miles and hours on the road between Houston and San Antonio so they could attend their grandchildren’s baseball games, swim meets, football games and a few volleyball games. Papa and Dee loved their grandchildren fiercely. Pattie Jo felt so blessed to be able to witness Grant and Kelly marry the loves of their lives.

She is survived by her three children: Jack C. Wilson and his wife Lorenza, Mary Ruth Lynch and her husband, Kenny Spear, and Andrew Wilson and his wife, Jayne. She leaves behind 3 grandchildren: Grant Alan Lynch and his wife Jazmine, Kelly Jo Killen and her husband Bo, and Laurenne Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, November 15, 2024 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Lane, Houston, TX 77042.

Pattie Jo asked that rather than send flowers, donations to Women of Grace, Grace Presbyterian Church (Houston) or the charity of your choice be made in her memory.

She and her family wish to thank from the bottom of our hearts Crystal and Ulysses Cisneros. Their loving care and kindness enabled her to enjoy the remaining months of her life. She especially adored their daughter, Remi. Thanks also to Anchored by Grace Hospice Care, Inc. in San Antonio for the compassion and care displayed towards Pattie Jo.
