Patrick and I weren’t just friends  we were brothers in arms. Our story started back in the 90s at Yokota Air Base in Japan, where two Air Force guys somehow found the time between deployments, duty schedules, and Prop/Jet noise to build a friendship that would last a lifetime.

Patrick was that rare kind of man you could always depend on  the steady one, the solid one, the one who would show up even when the world was pulling him in ten different directions.

And the thing that always stood out to me? His love for Stacy, for Tiffani, and for Taryn. Even with the demands of the Air Force pulling him across oceans and time zones, his heart never left home. He found a way to balance service to his country with devotion to his family  and he made it look effortless. His love didn’t bend, didn’t crack, didn’t waver. It was consistent, faithful, and fierce.

I’ll always carry that example with me — the way he honored his family by the way he lived.

A Bible verse that captures Patrick’s spirit perfectly is:

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13

Patrick lived that kind of love  for his family, for his friends, and for his country. And those of us who walked beside him are better men/women because of it.

Patrick, it is so heartbreaking to know that you are no longer with us here on earth but we know that we will see you someday. It brings back good memories thinking about you and your family at Luke Air Force Base while we all this big military family. We have some wonderful times. The laughter. The joy. The vacations. The barbecues. And the Card games just because we wanted to be together. You will be solely solely missed. The Lee family will miss you a great deal. Take your rest, our brother we love you, We will look after your family for you. Stacy, Tiffany , and Taren will never be alone.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Our hearts are broken as we grieve the loss of my former brother-in-law, yet we cling to the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Scripture reminds us that we do not grieve as those without hope, because through Christ’s death and Resurrection, God has promised eternal life. We trust that he is now resting in the presence of the Lord. He was a beautiful man, deeply loved, and the devoted father of my two nieces. His love lives on through them, and he will forever be held in our hearts and remembered as one of the very best among us.

Patrick was always a soft spoken, perfect gentleman with a warm smile and personality.   We met Patrick and his family,  while he served in the US Air Force at Luke AFB.   Our families shared many achievements, holidays, BBQs, excursions and good times and our children have created a bond that can not be broken.

Patrick adored his family and would do anything he could in support of his girls.  I will always admire his selfless devotion and he will truly be missed.  

Well done and may You rest 🙏🏾 in eternal Heavenly peace 🙏🏾
