

Jo Ann Polly Marinelli, 75, of Boerne, Texas passed away on January 6, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. Jo Ann was born on January 3, 1946 to Rose Eleanor Geisen and Jack Robert Polly. Jo Ann is survived by brother, Robert Charles Polly and sister, Betty Sue Polly Travis and special cousin, Nancy Sweeten Hughes as well as her daughters, Deborah Ann Bowen, Denise Sue Janes and son-in-law, Preston Janes, Donna Jean Carroll and son-in-law, Jim Carroll III, Sarah Elisabeth Ramirez and son-in-law Roman Ramirez and her son, Galliano Rosario (JR) Marinelli and daughter-in-law, Amy Marinelli. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Carah and Hunter Bowen, Madison and Grayson Janes, Cody, Kyle and Kaylee Carroll, Avery and Alden Ramirez, and Max and Luca Marinelli. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rose Polly, brothers, James Leroy and John William Polly and sister, Rosemary Polly Iles, and newborn twin granddaughters, Purple and Flowers Marinelli.
Jo Ann worked for a retail chain for 20 years, starting as a bookkeeper, then auditor, and leaving as an Operations Manager. She then worked as an Accountant for a commercial property management company and left as a Property Manager. After retiring, her love for children and cooking brought her to work in the Food Service Department for Boerne ISD. Jo Ann volunteered in the kitchen at Bulverde United Methodist Church and after moving back to Boerne she volunteered at Boerne United Methodist Church. She was also a Hospitality Coordinator for Boerne United Methodist Church.
For the safety of those she loved dearly, services will be held at a later date.
