Zoraida Perez-Kattler

Zoraida Perez-Kattler of Riverview, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on March 14, 1953, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 3. She grew up in Philadelphia and attended Kensington High School.

She worked as a cosmetologist for over 50 years before retiring in 2025.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edilberto Perez Sr., and her sister, Rosalina Perez.

She is survived by her husband, David Kattler; son, Lionel Berdecia II; daughter, Maritza Berdecia; grandsons, Lionel Berdecia III (Vashti) and Bobby Berdecia; granddaughters, Aleja Carter, Jaelyn Berdecia, and Jaylah Coleman; great grandsons, Lionel Berdecia IV and Joel Berdecia; great granddaughter, Aurora Berdecia; mother, Iluminada Perez; sisters, Carmen Perez, Aida Perez, and Alyssa Perez; brothers, Israel Perez, Nelson Perez, and Edilberto Perez Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at National Cremation and Burial Society, located at 308 E College Ave, Ruskin, Florida, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
