

Mary A. Mumma 92 of Sun City Center, passed away May 30, 2026 at home with her loving family in Akron, Ohio. She was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on August 26th, 1933 to parents James Pinkerton and Mitylene Holmes. She retired from Montgomery Wards after 20 years of service. Mary was deeply dedicated to her faith and was a long time active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she formed many friendships and shared her love for Jesus. Mary will be remembered for her kind heart as she spent her time in service of others. She was preceded in death by her parents: beloved husband Harlan ( Mike); brothers James and Billy Dean Pinkerton; sisters Francis McCray and Amelia ( Bebe) Jackson; son John Stopher and Granddaughter Shawna Willey. Mary is survived by her sons Billy (Judy) and Ed Stopher; Grandson T.R. (Katie) Stopher; Granddaughters Trudee (Scott) Moore and Tara Bonee; 7 great grandchildren; many loving nieces,and nephews; stepchildren Harlan (Nancy) Mumma & daughter Kristine, Barbara Mumma, Leslie ( Chris) Rearick and son Christopher .Visitation will be held June 10, 2026 at National Cremation & Burial Society Ruskin Fl. 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a 11:00 funeral service, with Pastor Jim Farr with interment at Florida National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
