Dickson Deliz

There are some people whose presence quietly changes the lives of everyone around them. Dickson Deliz was one of those people. To know him was to know kindness, wisdom, laughter, and unwavering faith. His life was a beautiful reflection of God's love, and his memory will forever remain a treasured gift to those who knew him.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dickson proudly embraced his Puerto Rican heritage throughout his life. Blessed with an inquisitive mind and a passion for learning, he earned two Associate's degrees, a Bachelor's degree, and a Master's degree. He devoted his career to serving in the Environmental Health and Safety field for many years, faithfully serving the Tampa Bay Area with excellence and integrity. Through years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, he achieved one of his greatest professional accomplishments by earning the position of Director—a milestone that represented a lifetime of commitment to the profession he loved. Though accomplished in many ways, Dickson believed that a person's greatest measure was not found in titles or achievements, but in character, integrity, and faith.

After making Florida his home, he built a beautiful life alongside his beloved wife, Lillian, cherishing every moment they shared together.

To his family and friends, Dickson was the heart of every gathering. Affectionately known as the family's Monty Hall from "Let's Make a Deal," he loved bringing people together through laughter, games, and unforgettable celebrations. Whether sharing a funny video, enjoying meaningful conversations, or simply spending time with those he loved, Dickson had a gift for making ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

Above all else, Dickson loved the Lord. His faith was not only something he believed—it was the way he lived. He faithfully prayed for others, encouraged people with grace rather than judgment, and pointed those around him toward Christ through both his words and his example.

Those who knew Dickson will remember not only what he accomplished, but how he made them feel. They will remember his gentle spirit, unwavering optimism, generous heart, and the peace that came from a life firmly rooted in God.

Dickson leaves behind his beloved wife, Lillian; his loving brother; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a host of cherished family members and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

One of Dickson's favorite sayings was, "In the race for greatness, there is no finish line." Though his earthly race has ended, the love he shared, the prayers he offered, and the lives he touched continue to bear fruit.

Today, we grieve because we loved deeply, yet we do not grieve without hope. We rejoice knowing that the man who faithfully walked with the Lord now rests in His glorious presence. Until we meet again, Dickson, your faith, your laughter, and your love will forever remain woven into our hearts.
