A loving husband of 20 years to Jaclyn Santucci and an ever devoted father and "horse-show Dad" to Josephine Cecilia Santucci; his passing has taken a great toll on his loved ones, his closest friends and the behavioral health community in the Tampa Bay Region.
Born and raised in South Jersey, Anthony graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1992 and went on to Wesley College in Delaware for his Nursing degree. He continued his higher education through Jacksonville and Walden Universities over the years ultimately achieving his Master of Science in Nursing in 2016, an accomplishment he was extremely proud of.
In addition to his education, Anthony was a graduate of the class of 2020 Leadership Tampa through the Tampa Bay Chamber, an intensive executive leadership program that challenges its members to see their community in a different light. He continued his work and support in the community with Leadership Tampa up until his passing.
His world revolved around his daughter, Josephine Cecilia, doting on her every move and molding her into a mini "Tuch". Anthony and Josephine were two peas in a pod, always drumming up some type of trouble or finding ways to make Mommy crazy. Extremely proud of Josephine and her passion for riding horses, he would transport her daily to the barn and sit for hours while she took lessons or hacked her horse. He never missed a horse show, always cheering on Josephine and her peers. He never worried about her needs or wants while riding, laughing to the phrase, "it's just another $250, I've got it".
Anthony was a pillar in the behavioral health community in the Tampa Bay Region over the last 25+ years, dedicating his work and passion to help serve those who dealt with behavioral health issues. He took great pride in serving his community. His commitment and testament to ensuring individuals received appropriate behavioral health services was unwavering. Anthony was well respected as the Director of Nursing for Baycare for the last 13 years.
Anthony's life was one of active engagement always wanting to be surrounded by his friends and loved ones for a good time. He loved to fish and skeet shoot and over the years became an avid hunter with his father-in-law when he would go home to New Jersey for the holidays.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Ann DiGuiseppe [Kolar]. Anthony is survived by his wife Jaclyn Santucci [Malusis]; his daughter Josephine Cecilia Santucci; his father Francis Joseph Santucci; his brother Anton Tomaso Santucci and sister-in-law Mary Katherine Santucci [Kugler]; his godson, Kaleb Cordova; his in-laws William Robert and Barbara Ann Malusis; and his stepfather, Michael DiGuiseppe. His absence cascades far beyond his immediate family and will forever be greatly missed.
Anthony Joseph Santucci "Tuch" will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, godfather, dear friend and an advocate for the behavioral health community. His warmth, wisdom, passion and joy he brought to everyone will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.
