Glen was born to Walter and LaRue England on October 27, 1943 in Oakland California. He was their second born son and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In 1973, he and Jimmette welcomed their first daughter, Joey Michelle, into the world on January 6. Their second daughter, Shenee' Nicole, was born June 13, 1975. Four years later, Cortney Kristanna, completed their family on July 17, 1979. Glen was definitely a girl Dad and adored his family.
He lived a life of service to others and valued education. In 1964 he proudly served as a Mormon Missionary in Argentina. He graduated from BYU in 1968, received his MA from Sacramento State and then earned his Doctorate in Education from the University of LaVerne in 1990.
He began his teaching career in Idaho Falls, Idaho and met his future wife Jimmette. They married in 1970 and moved to Northern California. He served his community of Vacaville as a Science and Math teacher, taking on roles to mentor students through sports as the swim, diving and football coach for Vacaville High School. He had a brief career as a police officer in Vacaville. He then combined his police work with his education background. He created a one of a kind successful program as a combination Police officer / Teacher for Vacaville High School. He would meet with students who had been arrested and their parents with the primary goal of keeping kids out of juvenile hall and out of trouble. After much success, took his family to Southern California and became an Administrator in Baldwin Park. Through the years he has opened brand new high schools, and beamed with pride as those schools and students took CIF championships or had award winning programs in theater.
In retirement, his passion was watching his grandchildren have success in their chosen endeavors. He had more pride and love for his children and grandchildren than anyone.
