Earl Thomas Mills Jr.

It is with sadness that we announce the death of our father, Earl Thomas Mills, Jr., who passed on from this life on Thursday, 8/7/2025, after an extended illness.

Earl Thomas Mills Jr. was born in Philadelphia, PA, and eventually moved west to California, primarily residing in Riverside, CA. He came from a large family, one of seven siblings. Earl enjoyed playing golf but loved baseball, basketball, and football. He played baseball and basketball rather well. He was always inquisitive about a wide breadth of subjects, and was a reservoir of facts. He was an avid reader and a lifelong learner. He enjoyed the comforts of home and was a definite homebody. For many years, he often worked two full-time jobs to support his wife and four children, with various positions including caddy, busser, waiter, custodian, security guard, presser, warehouse worker, technical editor, accounting clerk, payroll supervisor, advertising manager, industrial worker, hospital worker, and postal mail handler. He was the glue that held the family together. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was amazed that he made it to 83 years old. He survived all his brothers and sisters. We will miss you and your physical presence, but we will meet again. With love forever, you are never alone.
