Vickie Jo Anderson

Victoria Jo "Vickie" Anderson (Nelson), age 75, of Owatonna, passed away on July 31, 2026, at Methodist Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Clayton Anderson, with whom she shared 41 wonderful years of marriage.

Vickie was born on November 17, 1950, in Red Oak, Iowa, alongside her twin sister Valerie, with whom she shared a special lifelong bond, to Carol and Elsie Nelson.

On April 11, 1985, Vickie married Clayton and together they blended their families. She loved crafting and quilting, creating beautiful handmade gifts that will be treasured by her family for years to come. She also enjoyed spending time on the golf course, where she appreciated both the game and the friendships it brought.

Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Nelson; her brother, Larry Nelson; and her nephew, Nick Larson.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Clayton Anderson; her children, John (Nicole) Atkinson, Jim (Denise) Atkinson, Tammy Atkinson, Shane (Niki) Anderson, and Casey (Kim) Anderson; her father, Carol Nelson; her twin sister, Valerie (Lonny) Larson; her brother, Brent Nelson; and her cherished grandchildren: Gage (Hannah), Chance (Kylene), Rio, Taylor (Joe), Hunter, Chuck (Maria), Rebecca (Curt), Kellie (Andrew), Annie, Kaitlyn, Katherine, and Kevin. She is also survived by many beloved great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Vickie will be remembered for her creativity, fun spirit and love of her pet companions. Her memory will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life honoring Vickie will be held on Friday, October 9th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the VFW in Owatonna. All who knew and loved Vickie are invited to gather, share memories and celebrate Vickie's life.
