Mary Kathrine (Holmgren) Benedict

She is survived by her beloved wife, Pamela Foley. Mary’s daughter, Andrea Kunzer, her husband, Chris; Mary’s son, Donald Benedict, his wife, Marni.

She is also lovingly remembered by her stepchildren; Tom (Sue-Lee) Foley, Jeff (Vicki) Foley, and Shelly (Matt) Carroll; as well as her many wonderful grandchildren—Shayden and Kyle Benedict, David and William Kunzer, Chloe (Andrew) Cameron, Jordan Foley, and Ian Carroll, Tiana and Opi Foley, Cheyanne, Ryland, Grayson and Zayden Cameron—all brought her immense joy!

Mary is additionally survived by her brothers, Jon (Maria) Holmgren, Steve (Bev) Holmgren, Chuck (Liz) Holmgren; and sisters, Cindy (David) Devoy and Joan Holmgren. He is reunited in eternal rest with her brother Mike (Myrna) Holmgren; her mother Arlene Murphy and her foster parents Roy and Evelyn Kjos.

Mary loved music, animals, nature, and the simple beauty in everyday moments. She cherished laughter and the stories of the many adventures she shared with Pamela, her children, grandchildren, siblings and many friends. She was especially proud of marrying Pamela on July 12th, 2014. Their love was deep and resilient. Together they overcame challenges with grace. She lived in Minnesota and Texas, and Mary carried warmth and kindness with her everywhere she went.

A private family viewing and celebration of life will be held in her honor.

She is now our Angel in heaven~
