

Born on June 23, 1950, Marvin lived a life defined by hard work, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He proudly served in the United States Army, carrying that sense of duty and discipline with him throughout his life.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Marvin had a gift for working with his hands and could fix just about anything. He was a truly generous person who was always willing to go above and beyond to help the people he loved. His determination and strength were constants that those around him admired and depended on.
Above all, Marvin was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Kapaun-Hayes; his daughter, Tracy Martinson (Andy); his son, Tim Hayes; his stepdaughters, Laura DeBeers (Al), Karla Kapaun, and Emily Kapaun; and his cherished grandchildren, Grace Lynch, Ella Lynch, Allison Hayes, Olivia DeBeers, and Penelope DeBeers, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Marvin leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and craftsmanship. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marvin’s life at Veterans Park in Richfield on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
