She was born on July 12th in 1959 at St Joseph's and she lived her life dedicated to her family, her friendships, and her work.
Throughout her life, Lisa wore many hats. She went away for college but didn't end up finishing. She married her first husband Patrick at 21 and gave birth to her son Matthew in 1980. She worked several jobs throughout her youth from managing a liquor store to working at a casino to eventually owning her own business. She married her second husband at 36, and gave birth to her daughter Jessica in 1995. She traveled around the US throughout her life, and even got to see the beaches of Mexico and Hawaii.
If you knew Lisa, you knew she could be feisty and stubborn, and always up for playing a game. She loved riding horses and had a deep appreciation for the beautiful outdoors. Lisa dedicated her time and energy to caring for her clients through her home health business and playing cards or backgammon with her loved ones. There wasn't a dice game she wouldn't try or a steak she wouldn't eat. She could be anxious to be early for things, but when it came time to go home, she had perfected the long Minnesota goodbye. Lisa was fiercely loyal, and would give anyone a piece of her mind if they messed with her family. Towards the end of her life, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her 2 grandsons. Being a grandma meant everything to her, and she worked very hard to overcome her health problems so she could be with her family. Although Lisa is no longer with us, she leaves behind a legacy of caring deeply for others and enjoying life to the fullest.
Lisa was the first of 3 daughters, preceded in death by her brother Scotty, and parents Toni and Dennis Jorgenson. She is survived by her husband Paul, children Matt and Jessica (LWood, Samwise, Julian), step children Peder and Kjerstin, her sisters Michelle, Kathy, and Marcie, her nephew Jon, and her nieces Natasha, Natalie, and Nicole.
A funeral service is being held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on October 10th, 2026 at 11am. A luncheon will follow the service in the dining room. Flowers and plants can be sent to the church at 720 S 2nd street, Mankato MN 56001.
