Kurt Mitchell Boettcher

Kurt Mitchell Boettcher, 69, of Big Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, surrounded by his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur William Boettcher and Jolane Katherine Boettcher (Barnett); and his brothers, Steven William Boettcher and Patrick Allen Boettcher. He is survived by his two children, Courtney (Anudit) Pahwa and Benjamin (Lacie) Boettcher; their mother, Susan; three grandchildren, Isla, Myles, and Rihaan; and his siblings, Kathy, Karen, Kenny, Alex, and Katie.

Kurt was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor whose kindness and sense of humor left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to friends, family, or neighbors. Kurt spent his life working in the telecommunications business prior to retirement. He then spent his time enjoying life's little pleasures: fishing, listening to classic rock music, enjoying a cold beer, and watching storms come in. Kurt had a wicked sense of humor and a sharp wit that would take you by surprise and brighten even the toughest days.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Kurt on Saturday June 27th from 2pm- 5pm at the American Legion of Apple Valley.
