Juanita enjoyed family time, being a mother, and a good game of double dutch jump rope. Juanita was a loving child of God. She was the type of person who would be there for you whenever you needed her whether a conversation, advice, or someone to sit and just listen. Juanita will be forever missed and above all, forever loved.
She graduated from Gumber in 1981.
Juanita was actively involved in various hobbies like card games, especially spades. Juanita was an animal lover and the best babysitter you could ask for.

Juanita and her mother enjoyed visiting the Taste of Chicago as one of many of the things they would do together. One of the memories her mother has about Juanita is when she became a big sister for the first time, she took her baby sister from the baby crib and started to come down the hallway, Juanita pulled a blanket behind her to her mother and said here is your baby. Right now to this day her mother still does not know how Juanita managed to get Coco out of that crib.
There’s no time for sad remembrances,
because I’m home where I belong.
I’ve conquered all my battles.
I’ve even heard the trumpet’s song.
I’ve climbed my highest mountain
and I’ve reached an even peak
and I’ve found that peace and true reward
that you have yet to seek.
There’s no time for sad remembrances,
for you have a precious life.
So find comfort in my journey.
Please don’t bear this pain and strife.
Oh! My Father’s house is perfect,
just like he said it would be.
So dry your tears and smile for me,
because I’m home and now I’m free.
I am part of all the beauty that
your world has yet to see.
So don’t be sad about my journey,
just be glad that I am free!
The family would like to thank Hennepin County Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.
