

Passed away suddenly, on January 4th, 2022, at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald J. Shaw and Dorothy J. (O'Brien). He is survived by his wife, Anita (Schulze); two daughters, Jennifer (Tom) and Rebecca; and his cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his three older brothers; James (Jean) Shaw, Michael (Harriet) Shaw, and Peter (Mary) Shaw.
He grew up in Detroit, Michigan where he attended high school at Catholic Central and finished his B.S. at Michigan Tech. He taught science in Montana and Duluth, Minnesota. He spent many years running two software companies consecutively. He volunteered at Regions Hospital and The University of Minnesota doing canine therapy with his beloved dogs.
He split his retirement between Venice, Florida and Shoreview, Minnesota. He was happiest in his workshop building wooden toys for his grandchildren, training with his dogs on agility, spending time in nature and golfing. He was a connector of people and showed his love by planning activities, organizing trips, and cooking meals for loved ones. He has left a legacy of love and will be missed by many.
Due to current health recommendations his celebration of life will be held in the summer. Date and place to be determined. Memorials preferred to The Nature Conservancy.
