Erin Elizabeth Anderson was a light in the world from October 17, 1980 until her death, February 11, 2022. She is survived by her parents, Steven Anderson and Myra Denin, and her sister, Caitlin Anderson. She also leaves behind the kind of friends only a person of genuine devotion and kindness can make, along with the many relatives who held her dear. She is welcomed to grace by her loving grandparents, Virginia and Michael Molessa of Kissimmee Florida, and Donald and Jacquelyn Anderson of Bemidji Minnesota. Born in Orlando Florida, she lived for several years in Northfield Minnesota before settling in Minneapolis at the age of ten. Erin had a rare gift for connecting with people. She touched the lives of her co-workers and even relative strangers. As a longtime cashier at Cub Foods, the customers passing through her line became friends who asked after her and sought her out for many years thereafter. Erin was enormously loving and joyful, and she adored children. Though she was not blessed with her own, a great many of them knew her fondly as “Auntie Erin.” It was a role and a title she cherished. The pain of her loss will be as long and deeply felt as the joy she brought to our lives. Services will be held in Lake George, Minnesota in spring of 2022. Please direct remembrances and inquiries to Steven Anderson at [email protected]. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you consider giving a charitable donation in remembrance of Erin Anderson to the Cancer Research Institute: www.cancerresearch.org
