He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Ethel Eickhoff. Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Carolyn; daughters Pamela Hawkins, and Paula Faust; grandson, Colin Hawkins, granddaughters, Emily Faust, Amy Faust; great grandson Cameron Johnson.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to the extended family of cousins; Bob and Dale Meissner, and their families.
Don served in the United States military (Army_ 3rd armored division) overseas for 2 years, and 6 years in the reserves. After returning home from overseas Don began his career in public service with the Minnesota State Patrol (30 years) communication division where he retired a snowbird to the sunshine state.
He loved sports cars, snowmobiling, sailing, fishing, and traveling with family and friends. Don was deeply loved. We have all treasured our time together.
