

Cindy Lair Minnick, 45, of Brooklyn Center, passed away after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Friday, April 7th, 2023. Her celebration of life open house will be on Friday, April 21st from 5-11pm at the Crystal VFW 5222 Bass Lake Rd Crystal, MN 55429. Cindy will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Fort Snelling at a later time.
Cindy Lair Minnick was born on May 11th, 1977, to Jack and Edna Lair. She grew up in Zimmerman, MN with her older sister and brother, Vicki and Carl. She graduated from St. Francis Senior High School in 1995. She graduated from Bethel College in 1998. Throughout her lifetime, Cindy was involved in a plethora of community service and mission projects having such a heart for people. On December 28th, 2003, Cindy married the love of her life Adam. Together, they weathered through two overseas deployments growing closer while being apart. They shared a passion for travel and were able to go on numerous vacations where they enjoyed different parts of the country. Over the years, Cindy worked at many different jobs where she developed lots of deep friendships she maintained throughout her life. Cindy had the biggest heart, the ears to listen, a positive attitude and always loved unconditionally. Cindy’s love will live eternally through the sunshine. In Cindy’s own words taken from a Facebook post in 2009, “Life is short, appreciate what you have, cherish the people in your life, trust you are where God wants you to be and give yourself time to grieve, be angry – but don’t forget to move on for the journey ahead!”
Cindy is survived by her husband, Adam; step daughter, Alexis (fiancé Thomas Harris); grandchildren, Aliayah and Kamaru; her parents, Jack and Edna Lair; sister, Vicki Lair; brother, Carl (Donette) Lair; nieces, Lindsay (Tim) Myamoto, and Briana (Tyler) Wharton; nephews, Levi and Joshua Lair, family on her husband’s side, and friends too numerous to count. A special shout out to her “niece” Macie and “nephew” Keagan who she adored with all her heart.
