

Charles was born on October 5, 1943 in Richmond, Missouri to Sherman and Leora Sharp. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Elizabeth Ann; son, Kenneth; his parents, Sherman and Leora; and his brothers, Douglas and Michael Sharp. He is survived by his three children, Lisa, Barbara and Daniel (Becky); six grandchildren, Spencer (Nettie), Vincent, Nicholas, James, Aaron and Justin; three great grandchildren; nephews and other family members and friends.
Charles joined the US Navy in 1960 and proudly served upon the U.S.S. Enterprise as a machinist mate/mechanic. After leaving the Navy, Charles became a master mechanic. In his spare time, Charles spent hours designing, building and racing cars, snowmobiles, go carts, golf carts and lawn mowers. His eyes would light up when asked for help to solve engine problems or asked to help work on any type of vehicle.
As a father, he taught us the importance of chores, responsibility and family. As a grandfather, he shared his wisdom and memories with his grandsons.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 17, 2024 from 4-7 pm at the American Legion in Forest Lake, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Legion for assistance to Veterans.
