

Anita was a dedicated mother and grandmother. A hard worker, and known for her strong and straightforward nature. Not only did she shine as a mother to her son, Russ, but being Nana to her grandson, Ryan, meant the world to her. She had a passion for her extended family of "her boys" whom she mothered like they were her own. She was a great friend, co-worker and source of strength for many, many people. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Anita is survived by her son, Russell Byman; daughter-in-law, Lisa Byman; grandson, Ryan Byman; sister and brother-in-law, Lelia and Brian Skarboe; brother, Michael Spiess and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gladys and Conrad Spiess and her brothers, James Spiess, Richard Spiess and Gerald Spiess.
Anita graduated from Little Falls Senior High School in the Class Of 1968. She went on the have a successful career as a manager at Mystic Lake Casino.
In her free time, Anita enjoyed gardening, cooking and solving crossword puzzles.
A Celebration Of Life in honor of Anita will be held on her birthday, August 21, 2024 at Cleary Lake Regional Park, Lakeview Picnic Area. Located at 18106 Texas Avenue, Credit River, MN 55372 from 12pm-6pm with a short memorial service at 4pm. Pulled Pork, Smoked Ribs and beverages will be provided. Please feel free to bring a side dish to share!
