Leslie Edward Smith, Jr., 73, son of the late Leslie Edward Smith Sr. and Emma Victoria Angley Smith, born in Jacksonville, Fla., on July 19, 1947, went to be with his savior on March 2, 2021. Leslie was a devoted father, Grandfather, and brother.
He was an avid fisherman, loved to make furniture and work with his hands, and he loved to cook.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Michelle Smith Edmonds and husband Nick Edmonds,grandsons,Tristin Jaynes and Titus Edmonds, Jacquelin Jane Smith and grandsons Thomas Byrd and Willard Byrd. He is also survived by his sister, Brenda Mae Smith Cameron and husband Wayne Cameron, his sister Leslie Ann Smith Downing, his sister Elizabeth Vae Smith Shawley, his brother Ivey Decatur Smith and wife Rhonda Shumate Smith, and his Brother
Phillip Anthony Smith. Also many nieces and nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
Leslie was preceded in death by his sister, Myra Jan Smith, his brother in law Parks Abbott Downing, Jr, brother in law Paul Dwaine Shawley.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
