Joshua Peter Ward

Joshua “Josh” P. Ward passed away on June 19, 2022, at the age of 47. He is survived by his loving parents John and Shirley Ward; brother John and his wife Theresa; brother Joe; brother Jim and his wife Chelsea; sister Jennifer and her husband Paul; nieces Jordan, Alexi, Jessie and Maddie, and his nephew Jack.Josh grew up in Fredonia, N.Y., and graduated as a registered nurse from Jamestown Community College. Josh held numerous jobs through the years, with his most recent and favorite being at 3HC - Home Health and Hospice Care where he literally cared for and formed personal connections with every patient as if they were his own family member, and for that they were crazy about him.To know Josh was to adore him. With a personality as large as his booming laugh, whenever you’d hear his name, you’d immediately smile because you knew what was to come next would make you smile in turn. Josh was an entertainer, a friend who would always have your back, he was protective, honest and direct, and a motivator to those who needed a boost. Whereas most of us tend to stick in our little friend groups, Josh was a friend to all and if he loved you,he wasn’t afraid to let you know. Whether it was frequent visits to see his parents, watching his favorite sports with his buddies, sending humorous videos and texts to his family throughout the day, or putting aside the time to check on and encourage his nieces and nephew in their lives, he would do all this in the loud and awesome way that was unique to just him. You will be missed by all Josh! Josh will be remembered in a private family service at his favorite place where he always found peace. His brother Joe will place his ashes, alongside those of his beloved dog Narco. If later a public celebration of life is arranged, then word will be spread.
