Joseph Bair

Joseph was married to B.Jane Jordan in 1950. Their marriage lasted for 63 years until her death in 2012. They had 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Joseph had many different jobs during his 93 years. Chief among these he owned an insurance agency, a restaurant and retired from Kennametal after more than 30 years employment. Kennametal brought him from PA to NC in 1980.

During his time in NC he raised goats, sheep and African Geese. He always had at least one pet dog. Upon retirement he decided to take up playing the button box accordion. He was a member of the Party Time Polka Band for several years.

He was always proud of his Croatian heritage. Both parents immigrated to the USA from Croatia about 100 years ago but met and married here.

He was one of 10 children.

Joseph is survived by his sister Dorothy Libbon, and two children Teri Grdgon and Bruce Bair, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A family only celebration of life is planned for a future time.
